FAQ

How do I start my free trial?

Download SafetyBriefer from the App Store and open the app. After completing the onboarding, you'll see the option to start your 7-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends.

How much does SafetyBriefer Pro cost?

SafetyBriefer Pro is $9.99/month after your 7-day free trial. You can cancel anytime.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad

2. Tap your name at the top

3. Tap "Subscriptions"

4. Find SafetyBriefer and tap it

5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my purchases?

If you reinstalled the app or got a new device:

1. Open SafetyBriefer

2. Go to Settings (gear icon)

3. Tap "Restore Purchases"

Your subscription will be restored automatically if you're signed in with the same Apple ID.

I was charged but don't have Pro access. What do I do?

First, try restoring purchases (see above). If that doesn't work, email us at support@safetybriefer.com with your Apple ID email and approximate purchase date. We'll help you resolve it.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund:

1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com

2. Sign in with your Apple ID

3. Find the SafetyBriefer charge

4. Select "Request a refund"

How do I generate a safety meeting?

1. Open SafetyBriefer

2. Tap "Generate Safety Meeting"

3. Enter your topic or describe the work you're doing

4. Tap "Generate"

5. Review your meeting, collect attendees, and share

What industries does SafetyBriefer support?

SafetyBriefer supports 27+ industries including: Construction, Roofing, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Paving, Excavation, Concrete, Demolition, Welding, Manufacturing, Mining, Warehouse, Landscaping, Signage, Fencing, Flooring, Painting, Drywall, Masonry, Carpentry, Steel Erection, Environmental, Healthcare, and more. You can also select "Other" and specify your industry.

Where does the safety content come from?

All safety content is generated from official OSHA regulations at OSHA.gov. Our AI mirrors OSHA requirements without adding interpretations or custom advice. Each meeting includes specific CFR citations you can verify.

What are certification alerts?

SafetyBriefer automatically scans your meeting topics for work that requires OSHA certifications. We check for 39 certification types using 400+ keywords. If your topic involves work like confined space entry, crane operation, or fall protection, you'll see an alert reminding workers to verify they hold the required certification.

How do I share a meeting with my crew?

After generating a meeting:

1. Tap "Share Meeting"

2. A QR code will appear

3. Crew members scan the QR code with their phone camera

4. The meeting opens in their browser — no app download required

5. They can read the meeting and record their attendance

Can my crew view the meeting in their language?

Yes! When crew members open the shared meeting link, they can tap the language selector (🌐) and choose from 14 languages including Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Portuguese, and more.

Do my crew members need to download the app?

No. Only the person generating meetings needs SafetyBriefer. Crew members view shared meetings in any web browser by scanning the QR code or clicking the link.

Privacy & Data

Is my data stored on your servers?

No. All your data — meetings, attendees, settings — is stored locally on your device. We do not have a central database of your information. We're in the safety business, not the data business.

What data do you collect?

We collect minimal data necessary to operate the app:

- Your profile information (name, company, role) is stored on your device only

- Meeting content is generated via AI and stored on your device

- We do not sell or share your personal information

What happens to my data if I delete the app?

Since all data is stored locally on your device, deleting the app will delete all your meetings and settings. We recommend exporting important meetings before uninstalling.

Is SafetyBriefer HIPAA compliant?

SafetyBriefer is a safety meeting tool and is not designed for storing protected health information (PHI). Do not enter sensitive medical information into the app.

Technical Issues

The app is crashing or not loading. What should I do?

Try these steps:

1. Close the app completely and reopen it

2. Restart your device

3. Check for app updates in the App Store

4. Delete and reinstall the app (note: this will delete your local data)

If the issue persists, email us at support@safetybriefer.com with your device model and iOS version.

The AI isn't generating meetings. What's wrong?

Meeting generation requires an internet connection. Check that:

1. You're connected to WiFi or cellular data

2. You haven't exceeded any data limits

3. The app has permission to use cellular data (Settings > SafetyBriefer)

If you're still having issues, try again in a few minutes — the AI service may be temporarily busy.

The QR code isn't working for my crew.

Make sure:

1. They're scanning with their phone's camera app (not a separate QR app)

2. They have internet access

3. The QR code is displayed clearly (not blurry or cut off)

They can also tap "Copy Link" and you can text/email the link directly.

The cartoon isn't loading.

AI cartoon generation occasionally fails due to content filters or service availability. If a cartoon doesn't appear:

1. The meeting is still complete and usable

2. Try generating a new meeting on the same topic

3. Cartoons are a Pro feature — verify your subscription is active

My meetings aren't syncing to my new device.

SafetyBriefer stores data locally on each device — there is no cloud sync between devices. Your meetings exist only on the device where they were created. We recommend exporting important meetings via email or PDF for backup.

Can I use SafetyBriefer for OSHA compliance documentation?

SafetyBriefer helps you generate safety meeting content and document attendance, which supports your compliance efforts. However, we are not affiliated with OSHA and the app is not a substitute for professional safety consultation. You are responsible for ensuring your safety program meets all applicable regulations.

Is SafetyBriefer affiliated with OSHA?

No. SafetyBriefer is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with OSHA or the U.S. Department of Labor. We reference publicly available OSHA regulations. Always verify current requirements at osha.gov.

Can I use SafetyBriefer for my whole company?

Yes! Each user needs their own subscription. For teams of 10+ users, contact us at support@safetybriefer.com to discuss volume options.

Do you offer enterprise or team plans?

We're exploring team plans for larger organizations. Email support@safetybriefer.com with your company size and needs, and we'll follow up when team plans are available.
